Camila and Gesthika each gave excellent talks, with Camila presenting “Perceived barriers and facilitators to accessing on campus mental health and wellness services: a focus group study with Canadian post-secondary students” and “Factors influencing first-year university students’ mental health and wellness: Findings from the ACCESS Open Minds University of Alberta qualitative study” and Gesthika presenting  “Service providers’ perspectives: Inner and outer setting connections as key elements to youth adapted Individual Placement and Support (IPS-Y) implementation and service delivery in a pan-Canadian integrated youth services context”. Tovah also presented a poster “How to improve the rates of youth completing self-report measures: preliminary impressions from an ongoing systematic review”. The team got to hear from leading Canadian minds on how to improve mental health systems and make exciting new connections.

McGill University and the Douglas Research Centre are on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the traditional territory of the Kanien'kehá:ka, one of the founding nations of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. We respect the continued connections with the past, present and future in our ongoing relationships with Indigenous and other peoples within Tiohtià:ke/Montréal and across the country.
