Federal funding has been announced for the Canadian Network for Child and Youth Mental Health Trials (CYMH Trials Network), a new network to support clinical research that aims to improve mental health care for children nationwide.

The network is guided by a team that spans 12 institutions and six provinces, including partnerships with national research and training networks and centres. A key facet of the network is bringing together researchers, patient partners, Indigenous and community leaders, and decision-makers from across the country to improve child mental health care.

Dr. Srividya Iyer and Dr. Jai Shah from the Douglas Research Centre and McGill University are among key leaders within this network. Listen to Vidya interviewed by Radio Canada on the new network here: https://ici.radio-canada.ca/ohdio/premiere/emissions/dans-la-mosaique/episodes/753220/rattrapage-mercredi-15-mai-2024/12

McGill University and the Douglas Research Centre are on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the traditional territory of the Kanien'kehá:ka, one of the founding nations of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. We respect the continued connections with the past, present and future in our ongoing relationships with Indigenous and other peoples within Tiohtià:ke/Montréal and across the country.
