Panel Discussion: From Prevention to Early Intervention at the CHUM

Srividya Iyer was invited to be part of a panel titled From Prevention to Early Intervention: A Conversation with Mental Health Researchers at the CHUM to multiple foundations that are part of the Mental Health and Wellness Affinity Group. The event was initiated by the Graham Boeckh Foundation, whose goal is to transform the mental health system in Canada by facilitating collaboration in this sector. During the event, participants with a common interest in mental health research attended a panel discussion on the challenges of access to care for people with mental disorders, and visited the CHUM's JAP Clinic (Jeunes adultes psychotique), which stands out for its innovative practices, including early detection of psychosis in a collaborative approach and continuity of care.

McGill University and the Douglas Research Centre are on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the traditional territory of the Kanien'kehá:ka, one of the founding nations of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. We respect the continued connections with the past, present and future in our ongoing relationships with Indigenous and other peoples within Tiohtià:ke/Montréal and across the country.
