As Co-chair and Joint senior author of the prestigious Lancet Psychiatry Commission on youth mental health, Vidya attended and was a panellist at the Special briefing and launch of the Lancet Psychiatry Commission in New York, on October 22nd 2024.

Bringing together an international consortium of leading psychiatrists, psychologists, academics, and young people, the Commission presents a definitive assessment of global youth mental health.

 
 

McGill University and the Douglas Research Centre are on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the traditional territory of the Kanien'kehá:ka, one of the founding nations of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy.
