Journée nationale Aire ouverte in Shawinigan, Québec

On October 18-19, Srividya Iyer, Amal Abdel-Baki and Christian Macé facilitated a workshop on Learning Health Systems at the Journée nationale Aire ouverte in Shawinigan, Québec. The event brought together diverse stakeholders working in youth mental health all across the province to discuss achievements and challenges moving forward.


Attendees also got to take a tour of the new Aire ouverte space in Shawinigan and were invited to participate in a traditional drumming circle by the Waseskun Drummers from Waswanipi.






McGill University and the Douglas Research Centre are on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the traditional territory of the Kanien'kehá:ka, one of the founding nations of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. We respect the continued connections with the past, present and future in our ongoing relationships with Indigenous and other peoples within Tiohtià:ke/Montréal and across the country.
