IAYMH Conference in Copenhagen

At the end of September, members of the ACCESS Open Minds network (youth, family/carers, researchers) attended the International Association for Youth Mental Health (IAYMH) conference in Copenhagen, Denmark. Some members, including Srividya Iyer and youth council members were integral in the planning and facilitation of the conference. Many participated in panel discussions and shared research results through presentations and posters. It was a wonderful event full of knowledge exchange, new connections and a sharing of perspectives on how to improve mental health services for young people.

McGill University and the Douglas Research Centre are on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the traditional territory of the Kanien'kehá:ka, one of the founding nations of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. We respect the continued connections with the past, present and future in our ongoing relationships with Indigenous and other peoples within Tiohtià:ke/Montréal and across the country.
