The Catalyst grant led by Dr. Shah (on which Iyer is a co-principal investigator) supported a meeting of the Early Career Researchers in Youth Mental Health Network in Ottawa on June 12, 2024, as a satellite meeting before the Canadian Community Mental Health Care conference. For Srividya Iyer, it was fun to listen to this bright diverse network of next-gen leaders and to share some of her experiences and insights to better support them in navigating future careers.

Left to right (Dr. Skye Barbic from UBC, Alyssa Frampton, Srividya Iyer, Dr. Jai Shah from McGill/Douglas and Dr. Manuela Ferrari from McGill/Douglas).

McGill University and the Douglas Research Centre are on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the traditional territory of the Kanien'kehá:ka, one of the founding nations of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. We respect the continued connections with the past, present and future in our ongoing relationships with Indigenous and other peoples within Tiohtià:ke/Montréal and across the country.
