Behind the scenes: Co-leads for CIHR IYS-NET grant (Indigenous IYS network) meet in Thunder Bay, Ontario

Dr. Srividya Iyer and Kathleen MacDonald (Research Associate) travelled to Thunder Bay, ON to meet with Dr. Christopher Mushquash and his team to further discuss next steps for the CIHR IYS-NET grant (Indigenous IYS network) which they are co-leading together. Most of the collaborations have been done virtually, and so it's always nice to be able to connect and meet in-person to have these important conversations.

McGill University and the Douglas Research Centre are on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the traditional territory of the Kanien'kehá:ka, one of the founding nations of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. We respect the continued connections with the past, present and future in our ongoing relationships with Indigenous and other peoples within Tiohtià:ke/Montréal and across the country.
